#1 Compose a formal, long email
Imagine any situation where you have to draft a long email. You have to think about how to structure it. Then, you have to write up the first draft. Then comes at least one or two revisions. Finally you sit on it for a few hours and then send it out. From end to end it may have taken you 45 to 60 minutes to accomplish that. Now imagine a situation where all you do is freely take up the template I have provided below. You then tweak it so it meets your personal style and your situation specific information like email signature, company name and so on. Once you have this template done once, you are ready to reuse it again and again with minor tweaks. Everytime you use it it probably takes you 5 minutes to tailor to your instant situation and probably another 10 minutes to proofread. All in you have saved upwards of 30 to 45 minutes.
